Problem with women
I had been working on and off for alomst 4 years now... In the last 2yrs, most of the people I had been working with are females... coz most of the teachers are female.
I realised it's not that nice working with women... Women who are in their thirties or those who had given birth have very poor memory. (I pray that I will not grow old, or give birth, however, it's impossible). They can't remember what they had told you. Worse still, some of them like to jump into conclusions which can be very frustrating at times.
:< anyway, I still have to endure for at least another 3 years before I regain my freedom.

A Day at the zoo
25th Feb 2006
Had a wonderful time at the zoo... This time round, I'm there on a secret mission. (Since it's a secret, I can't disclose the secret!)

The Singapore Zoo has the largest collection of primates...
Show you my butt... U naughty BIg cat.

Can you spot the animal from the picture?

This cute little thingy... Lying there... Sleepy head... Wake up!!!!

Here's another sleepy head at the children's world.

Finally, I woke up one of the animals...

It jumped down and refused to move... Enjoying the sun... I grabed the ooportunity to take a photo with it.

Pong escaping from the scene as he fear the animal (he is afraid of taking photos)

See who's taller now :"""(

Pong always says that I am as fat as an elephant...

Who say so, u see my foot is a lot smaller.
Elephant oh elephant......What BIG foot you have....

Getting ready for a swim...
The animals are not very cooperative on that day... Most of them were sleeping...

Saw my friend's results for his quiz. Now that I'm at the cross roads once again, I really need to decide where to go fter NIE. And so I took the quiz...
And here's my results:
What is your Perfect Major? (PLEASE RATE ME!!<3)
created with QuizFarm.com
As u can see, I have interestin almost everything.
I think it's quite true...
I'm always open to new things... I always take courses that are not related to each other... E.g. multimedia, econs & management, education... These courses consist of many 'rojak' modules - sociology, econs, biology, English, psychology, programming.... U name it. The few things that I didn't had any formal education in is Art and dance. Due to a broad base in education, I have developed an interest in everything.
I dunno where to go after I had completed my NIE course... Maybe I will go back to SIM-UOL.

Last day with NIE
Today is my last day in NIE. Everyone was still busy with their assignments till the very last minute. My assignments are not prefect but I still submitted them anyway. Coz I know that I will surely get a B grade for everything.
Anyway, I don't really have much feelings for this school. The people I met here are some of the nicest people I had never met. But I feel there's something cold about this place...
Comparing this school with all the other schools I had been to, I still feel that SIM is the best... But it's so expensive... (NIE is free... LOL) Maybe because I don't really like the course... That's y I feel that way.
I still have a half done degreee. Don't know what to do with it.

Graduating soon...
This is my last week at NIE. I still quite busy with my assignments. Two years with NIE is so short (I dun wish for it to be any longer). I really dun have much feelings for the school. Maybe it's becuase I'm paid to study therefore the school seems like a work place for me.
By next week I will be in my practicum school (internship). It's scary... Not too sure if I can cope with my practicum. I'm so lousy with classroom management. The kids climb over my head.
I had learnt to cope with the reality that I have to teach eventually. I just hope that I will be able to adapt to teaching life.

Gathering with my Secondary School pals
Sorry... no time to crop the photos...
My three friends.
We had been good friends since Secondary school dayz... Oh my time has fly and we are now 10 years older... Those days were the most memorable in my life.
On Monday, we met at cafe Cartel to eat... They food sucks... It's the second time I was there and still there's not improvement. The pork is so tough that it took me a long time to cut.
The three of us acting cute....
Nice fabric rite... We took the photos in esplanade... I even planned to steal the fabric home.

Lost and found
I had been reading many blogs and I realised that many youngsters are like me - very lost.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing the right thing. From simple things like what clothes to wear, to what career or course I should pursue... Many times I will regret my decisions and get very depressed over them.
Usually I will take the easy way out in life but it will often land me in trouble (sorry can't mention what sort of trouble). For people out there reading this, I must tell you that the toughest path is usually the most rewarding... (provided you have good foresight). Some people always say that they were not given the opportunity... As always, I will blame heaven and earth for my fate... but thinking back, I was given many opportunites... But was I ever really prepared for them?
But I understand that I should learn to count my blessings and be contented with life.

A Day At the Sungei Buloh Nature Park
The weather is not very good on that day...
I wonder what the monitor lizard and the terrapin is doing... Hmmmm
Pong at the lily pond. Hehehe He is camera shy.
Later, we even catch a glimpse of Dong Fang Bi Li at causeway point... I must say that he looks slim...

A wet Saturday morning at Sungei Buloh.
The weather is not very good on that day...
I have to say that I'm an excellent photographer... LOL
I even managed to take shots of insects resting.
I wonder what the monitor lizard and the terrapin is doing... Hmmmm
Pong at the lily pond. Hehehe He is camera shy.
Poor me, with a mosquito bite on my forehead. Pong is so stupid, by the time
he warn me, I already got the bite. He should have helped me kill the bug.

The kidult
Lying on the sofa while reading a copy of 'Harry Porter and The order of the phoenix'. Occasionally, casting my eyes on the TV to catch a glimpse of Baby Tweety bird on 'Baby Looney Tunes'.
It seems like the life of an eleven kid... No you are wrong... It is my life. Since I returned to become a full-time student at NIE, I had the leisure of doing such things in the afternoon.
More and more youngsters are refusing to grow up. At first I thought that I'm the only one suffering from Peter-Pan syndrome... Many of my guy friends still spend their time playing their favourite game on the PC or arcade. And some are like me, refusing to leave school. If they have enough money, they will spend it on collecting certificates.
It is not only in Singapore, but it is a global trend.

Review of Wallace and Gromit - "The curse of the Were Rabbit"
I decided to catch this movie (even when the tickets were so ex) on the last day of the year in my appreciation for the clay animators.
The movie started off with the 15 minutes mini film featuring the cute penguines from Madagascar. These adorable penguines were out to rescue their little recruit who had wondered off to the streets from their bunker before Christmas. The short film was great and a lot more better than the Madagascar film and it serves as nice appetizer.
Wallace and Gromit works hard in the night to guard the vegetables for the villagers before the vegetable compeition. But rabbits are still everywhere. Wallace came up with an invention to rehab the rabbits. As always, Wallace got into trouble when his invention gone wrong. His faithful dog, Gromit saves the day.
The film was truly inspiring for an animator wannabe. The movie is fast pace. The cat-and-mouse chase is still the best part of the film.

GoodBye 2005
2005 was a year filled with fun, laughter, surprise and joy for me. Lets put it this way, I'm blessed with short-term memory... So by the end of the year, I will forget most of the bad things that had happened to me earlier. (I don't seem to be able to forget the fear I have for practicum)
2006 will be the year that I officially leave full-time schooling for full-time teaching. :"( It's sad... But life goes on. I hope that I can teach the children proper English... So many adults in their 20s are seriously poor in their Grammar. (My English is not perfect.... but I have seen worse).
I think it's about thime to do the New Year resolution:
Study for UOL
Work hard in my first real job
Be a good girl
Earn more money?
K... I try to keep it short since most probably I can't fullfil them. LOL

My top five favourite Movie of the Year
1. Batman Begins
2. Star Wars
3. Charlie and the Chocolate factory
4. Chronicles Of Narnia
5. Corpse Bride
6. Downfall
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Beware of fraudsters from China
"Xiao Mei Mei, this is the first time we are here in Singapore. I think we need a little bit of help. You see, we are from China...."
If you hear these words, please run away as quickly as possible. The stupid China fraudsters are here! Recently, there are many Chinese national here to cheat people of their money. They usually target youngsters in their early twenties.
I was approached by a China aunty when I was at Greenridge shopping centre and the very next day, my neighbour (same age as me) was targetted by a well-groomed man at bukit Panjang Plaza.
They are not really in need of help... They are just here to cheat you of your money by telling you cook-and-bull stories. They often say that they will return you the money (of coz it will never come true).
The schools holidays is coming to an end... And the only thing I had done during the holidays was read, read, read and more reading... How boring can my life be?
The power of Sudoku
I spent time cracking my head, trying to solve a Sudoku puzzel. Haizzz... According to Jinshan, he can solve some within 15 mins...
If you think you are up to the challenge, try your luck by getting a Sudoku book from the bookstore.
I'm thinking of how I should teach children Maths using Sudoku.
Photos taken during the Christmas party :)
Guess which 1 is me?
Merry Christmas
Guess what I got Christmas....
I got a lovely Elizabeth Arden Christmas Gift set from Tiger :)
And
A pair of bathroom slippers and door knob hanger from Shuxia.
Last night was a wonderful evening with the Tiger's poly friends... Being with a bunch of youngsters 4 years younger than me makes me feel that I'm getting old...
We had a great steamboat dinner. Yummy.. Prior to the dinner, we played mahjong until siao. Me and Tiger both lose in the game. Sian... Such bad luck.
My birthday is just around the corner....
I got this idea when I was watching TV yesterday.
Snow globe:
Emptied jam jug
1 figurine
distilted water
super glue
glitter
Ribbons
Use the super glue to stick the figurine onto the cap of the jam jug (the side which will be inside the jug.
Pour water into the jug (not completely full as the figurine also takes up space.
Put in glitter.
Close the jam jug.
Decorate the cap with the ribbons.
The results are out
NIE results are out... Lucky me... I have got A- for my hisotry :)... This makes me te only person with A for the two consecutive years... I don't care if anyone has got A for history this year... Too bad, there's no prize for being the best for two consecutive years for this subject... So unfair... There's special prize for Maths and English but no prize for History.
Anyway, this year I'm still slightly below expectations as I have got tonnes of B+ and B-!!!! I'm so disappointed that I didn't get A for Maths and Science. I was expecting so much for Science.There is a bit of grades inflation because they had removed the grade E from the new grading sy6stem. So I should be getting more As, bbut that's not the case... Anyway, I'm still happy that I pass all. Thank god for the results.
