I'm in trouble
A month ago, I spotted some tiny (pimple size), colorless and painless lumps on my collarbone. I also have some on my chest. I checked it out on the internet and noticed that it can be an inflamation of my lymph nodes. It can signal CANCER!
I think I really have to check it out with the doctor.
My insurance agent bluff me... say that I will get a free checkup yearly with my policy... Now he told me it's biannual!!! Shit him

Life
Happy birthday to Pong. Give you 1 BIG kiss... I love you... Hope that you are happy in Aussie.
I'm so happy that I will be getting an increment next year. Somehow, the govt has answered my prayers. I will be using the funding to subscribe to national geo.

Another thing about Aussie:
So sad to hear about what happened to the croco hunter..
The fans of discovery channel will miss you.

Happy Teachers' Day
This is my first time celebrating teachers' day as a teacher. I received lots of little presents from my sweeties... All of them are unique. There are some unusual ones:
A card without a name
A very old staple box with a tiny note 'happy teachers' day.
But I simply love everyone of them

My $168 hair cut
Today, I still in a bad mood. I'm angry with what had happened yesterday. Furthermore, my dad quarrelled with me today. After doing some work in school, I left for Orchard Road.
It's so boring shopping alone. Luckily, there was some great bargains and I managed to buy some clothes. I had been playing with my hair and I realised that it's really messy and boring... Furthermore, I did not clip it on, so it flew all over the place.
I walked into Icon by Shunji Matsuo at Isetan. Icon is like the more budget version of Shunji Matsuo, so it's gonna be cheaper. For people who know me, I like to cut my hair whenever I'm in a bad mood. (kk.. people do remember my squid hair, don't you?) I recalled my last visit to the salon years ago. There was this cute guy who cut my hair and he's so good in styling. Hopefully he's still around.
Too bad, he's not around. Anyway, an uncle came along to cut my hair. He suggested that I highlight my hair. kk, my hair was limp, so I decided to give it a try.
Oh no it's a bad move!
After all the hard work and the long wait (he was serving two people at the same time!), I don't seem to see much color after all. And after the GST and treatment, it costed me $168!
The hair does look better. The problem is that I don't feel $168 better. Haizzz...
What's the moral of the story, don't think that spending money is going to make you feel better. Secondly, don't ever do things on impulse.

Wow.. It's been so many days since I last blogged... I didn't blog because I don't have a camera... And I think that it's boring to have a blog with no pics. What to do? My bf is not around liao... He's in Aussie land..
Really quite busy with work and studies. I can almost drop dead any moment. Jiro asked me if I call the parents regularly? Not really lar... some parents do call me often. I don't really mind, as long as they don't complain to my sch but complain directly to me.
Currently, I still think that the workload is manageable.
Tomorrow will be a busy day. I will be selling Rojak for the racial harmony day.. So long.

I had not been updating my blog for sometime. Many things are going on in my life and I just don't seem to have the time to blog about it. First it was the trip to Hat Yai and then it was the staff retreat at orchid country club. I took many photos using my bf's cam and my hp... But so far he had not given me the photos. The school holiday was fun and how I wish that it can last longer!
Found meaning in my job
Previously, I don't really like my job. I thought that it is going to be lesson plans and lesson plans. But now as a full-fledged teacher, life is totally different. I became more competent and I can actually do things that I really want to do with the class. Being the form teacher of a class is a brand new experience.I get to see the same kids for aalmost the entire day. I really enjoyed their company.
I realised that I play a very important role in their life. They are very poor in their studies and I will have the power to change their destiny.
Hope that I will continue to enjoy my life in school :)

Wow I look like so many people...
I run my photo on the face recognition website - www.myheritage.com and I get so many diffferent results.

Using my passport photo, the percentage of resemblance is only between 61% to 48%... Which is relatively low. And most of my lookalikes are not really good looking.. so that means I'm not good looking lar... KK I knew it. Most of my lookalikes look intelligent... so does it mean that I'm smart?
But I tried the same website and used a very different photo which only shows my profile, I get a very different set of results.

This photo yielded more results and notice that this time round my lookalikes are more beautiful (hahaha) and the level of resemblance is also higher. Those highlighted in green are the celebrities that resemble me (the computer said so... not me). Both Grace and me resemble Rita Hayworth. Maybe my profile is more beautiful that's why the results are better LOL... Wow... I'm even look a bit like Lee Yong Ae...
Don't know how the flash works... I supposed that they just think that all asian faces looks alike... I used another photo and they even think I look like Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li.

NIE Dinner and Dance
I went to the NIE dinner and dance. It's like my very first 'prom'. back then when I was in sec sch, there wsn't any prom and when I was in poly, no one wants to go. This might be my first and only prom. hahaha. Only a few people attended. The graduating students from dip ed only managed to fill up one table.
The first surprise of the night.

Saw the girl on the left... Her dress is sexy... Very low cut. In this pic u can't see much... But in actual fact, the front cut is all the way to her belly.

Here's her back. I think I saw the same dress on MTV or something... But never thought that someone will wear it other than for clubbing.

Here's Joan acting cute and asking for a fav from me. She wanted me to go for the pageant on her behalf... crazy... she's prettier than me lor. She's just too shy.

The dinner is a bit boring, even when there's some 'games' and a live band there. so We tried to entertain ourselves at our table.

Jeann making a fool... LOL

Dreaming
Two days ago, I visited ITE college East. This was a trip planned by the MOE as part of the induction programme for the teachers'. The school is beautiful. The Dean gave a very long speech trying to convince us that the quality of education in ITE is improving. Ok... I believe that the vocational education is useful for some people.
Then he showed us a video clip. In this video clip, they selected handsome and beautiful pupils to talk about their dreams. One part of the clip caught my attention. I saw three handsome guys sitting on the pool side in a row. One of their legs is in the pool while the other is outside the pool (pretty hard to imagine). They pretended that they are paddling a canoe (no canoe!). Then the camera cut to the face of one of the guys who spoke of his dreams to sucess.
What a joke! This shows that the pupils there only stops at dreaming!

Color me beautiful
Today I attended this workshop entitled 'Color me beautiful' by Jill Lowe. In case you don't know who is Jill, she is an image consultant with many years of experience. She show us this diagram and the entire class laughed. I think she somehow censored the word sex on the picture for the male brain and she used the word 'women' instead. She was trying to point out to us that it is important for women to dress appropriately to attract men.

My hamster almost died in my hands
Just now, I accidentally dropped my hamster on the floor. At first, one of its front legs went limp and it only moved using the other legs. I don't know what to do. Then it started to bleed slightly from the nose. It was making a funny sound, as if it was trying to sniff back the blood. After a min, it's front leg seems fine and the bleeding stopped.
Luckily, it was fine. This was not the first accident I had with hamsters. The other time, I injured a baby hamster and it lose one of its front legs.

Where to get cheaper groceries
Recently, it was reported in the news that one of the supermarket chains was caught selling expired food. The supermarket that is nearest to my home also belongs to the 'sXXX n saXX' chains. Due to the poor business at that branch, a lot of the vegetables, fishes and meat are not fresh.
The branch near my home sells limited range of products. The grocerises are not really that cheap in comparison to 'fair price', giant and 'sheng siong'.
just to name a few
e.g.
At 'sXXX n saXX'
A pack of 5 mid chicken wings -> $2
At 'fair price'
A pack of 7-8 mid chicken wings -> $2
At 'sXXX n saXX'
Mozarella cheese -> $4.10
At 'giant'
Mozarella cheese -> $3.60

Hehe... I'm green

Your true color is Green!
What's Your True Color?
Brought to you by Tickle
Fengyi, your true color is Green!
You're green, the color of growth and vigor. Good-hearted and giving, you have a knack for finding and bringing out the best in people. Green is the most down-to-earth color in the spectrum — reliable and trustworthy. People know they can count on you to be around in times of need, since your concern for people is genuine and sincere. You take pride in being a good friend. For you, success is measured in terms of personal achievement and growth, not by status or position. Rare as emeralds, greens are wonderful, natural people. It truly is your color!

DIY Takoyaki
My mum bought a packet of takoyaki flour mix and she followed the instructions on the packet to make the takoyaki. It taste better than what is sold at the night market in Singapore.
Here's how to do it->
Ingredients:
300g Takoyaki flour mix (from Daiso)
water 450ml
1 egg
some prawns
100g mozzarella cheese
some dried flaked bonito
Mix part of the flour mix with water and beaten egg until smooth. Add all the water and mixed till homogeneous.
Cut the cheese into small cubes.
Oil and heat the pan. If you don't have the takoyaki pan, you may use a frying pan with the round mould for making round pancakes.
Pour the mixture into the pan. Put in the cheese and prawns as desired.
Wait till it's semi cooked. Use a skewer to turn the takoyaki. Wait for the heat to cook the outside.
Serve with sauce and bonito flakes.
make sure you try it today :)

West Side Story - at the esplanade
It's my first time catching a musical. I was rather excited. The musical was fine. somehow, for a person who is used to watching movies, it's a bit hard to adapt. You see, in a movie, after all the editing, they somehow transit from shots from different camera and positioned in different angles. This makes the whole movie more interesting. Musical is a more traditional form of art. You only get to see one angle. Therefore, it can get a bit boring after sometime. But still it's a good experience.
This time I'm sitting at the circles seats. Maybe if I'm on a budget next time, I will try the restricted seats.

end of practicum
Yesterday marks the end of my 8weeks long practicum. almost wanted to kill myself in the process. Never felt so hopeless before. Now it's all over, I still can't relax. I'm so worried that I will not be able to cope after I had become a full-fledged teacher.
When it comes to graduation, I'm always so worried. I'm not sure if my life will be better after leaving school.
